Back to School Time

Brax started school today(8/19) and it was quite different than last year. My big boy walked right in his class, gave me a kiss, and started to color with his friends!! Last year he was screaming, I guess he has really grown up.

On the first day it was Louis, one of his buddies, bday. The kids got to eat cookies & ice cream and Louis gave all the kids one of those blow stick toys, I really have no idea what they are called but it was hilarious seeing Bax use the toy. His cheeks were full of air and his eyes would almost cross & look as if they were going to pop right out of his head. To hear Brax say Louis is something else. It is so cute he says it in two long syllables!!! He was in the car on the way home singing "Happy birthday to Lou------is!!!!"'

Brax has been in school for now almost a month (how I am so far behind). We started carpool 3 weeks ago, where the teachers get you out of the car in the morning and put you in the car in the afternoon, like elementary school kids do. The first day we did this I only picked him up, I was so anxious that I had tears in my eyes in the carpool line, I have no idea why. I guess it was just the fact that my little man is getting really big. To see him walk out of school with a teacher and wait on me to pick him up in line was crazy!!! Anyhow, maybe that was my emotional school story and that will not happen again until he graduates, yeah right who am I trying to kid!!!!

Well now carpool is no big deal for the both of us of course, praise God!! Brax even says "Mommy, you drop me off at school?" and I answer "yes & I will pick you up after school." Heck one day this week Brax said "no, you not pick me up." At least I know he likes school and I thank God for this as well Creekside & all of it's teachers. They are such a blessing to our family. They take great care of Braxton and we just love them all.

It's Bath time

Kim & Hayes came over for dinner Friday night and it turned into a bath party!!!
The boys played inside & out, ate a really good dinner, Tacos; Yummm and then got a bath together. They had a bath party. It was a lot of fun and even scary for Hayes. See Braxton has a lobster who we call Mr. Legs & Hayes did not care for him. Not to mention his mother was scaring the living daylights out of him by putting Mr. legs up to his face and moving it around. Hayes was probably thinking Mr. Legs was attacking him!!!! Kim & I could not to help to laugh as Hayes would run from her and the dreadful Mr. Legs. Hayes would wave his hands and even shake with tremors!!! Kim had tears in her eyes it was so funny!! Sorry Hayes!!! I do have to admit I am laughing as I write this....... Hayes I really do love you. After being traumatized for a bit Brax helped Hayes warm up to Mr. Legs, Hayes even played with the lobster. It's neat to see these two grow together and become great friends.

Thanks for good laughs and great conversation Kim & Hayes!!! We love you!!!

Movie Time!!!

We took Braxton to the movies for the first time last weekend. We saw Toy Story 3 and Brax fell in love!!! We were not sure how this was going to go( I even asked the casheir if we could get a refund if he screamed) but to my surprise Brax really enjoyed himself as well as Buzz Lightyear. He walked right in the theatre, sat down, and started eating his popcorn while being amazed with the enormous TV screen!! Brax would call out "there's Buzz Lightyear" and "there's a horsey" while he was pointing to the screen intently watching what was taking place. Some of his facial expressions were so cute and now of course all we hear is "I want to go the movies!!!"

We really enjoyed taking Brax to the movies, we have so much fun together as a family and especially being able to watch Braxton do things for the first time. Brax you truly are a unique kid and Daddy & I love hanging out with you!!!! We love you son!!!
