Braxton shows Duchess how to drink.....

I am doing the dishes and look up to see what little man is doing and I can not see his head or hear any sounds from him. So of course I stop the dishes and try to find him. Well this is what I found!!! He is at Duchess' water bowl pretending to be her. He is on his hands & knees with his face to her bowl. Meanwhile, Duchess is behind him watching. WOW!!! What a kid!!! What do you do with this?? He was just trying to show Duchess he can drink from her bowl too!!! Oh the funny things kids do!!!

Lunch with Nanny!!

We had lunch with Nanny today and what was supposed to be lunch turned into a fiasco!!! We met mom at Steak & Shake and we were early so Brax was playing with all the buttons & knobs in the car, something he really enjoys doing. Well then we went into eat, had a nice lunch and when we were ready to leave what do you know the car doesn't start!!!! Brax left one of the interior lights on. It was so cold outside to make it even better!!! Mom was pulling out of the parking lot and thankfully I was able to stop her!! We had to unload all of our stuff which included some groceries and then try to find some jumper cables. No luck with the jumper cables. Mom calls Wifi (my dad) he is in Dunwoody and lets him know what's going on. Why she did this I have no idea. Well yea I do, its because I told her to take me to Target where I would buy the jumper cables and we would jump my car off. Mom freaked, saying "we can't do that, that I do not know how and that and I was going to get hurt if I did! . I told her "to stop, that I knew how to do it and just do what I say"!! She loved that!!!!

Anyhow, buy the time I bought jumper cables and got back to the car Wifi had arrived and he gets in the car and it and starts right up!! We all laughed!!! So I unloaded my moms car that had all of our stuff and during all of this hoorah Brax conveniently spilled his milkshake in his car seat and not to mention I dumped mine all over the dashboard in moms car to!!

So what seemed to be just lunch, well it turned out to be much more fun that!!

The pics are Braxton drinking his Nanny's sprite, he always make this funny face when he drinks sprite because of the carbonation!! Check Nanny's face too!

Daddy's Hat!!!

We have found that Braxton likes his daddy's hard hat! We were on our way to church and this is what Bman was doing! I have to say he is so cute!!!!

Braxinstein!!!!

These pictures are from our week of chaos. I took these of him Sunday(1/17/2010) evening. He likes to play in the kitchen and when I turned around from washing something, this is what I saw!!! Braxinstein!!!!! Braxton wearing a colander as a hat!! Crazy Kid!!!

What a Week!!!

Ok so it goes a little something like this.....
Monday(1/11/2010) we get home from school and Braxton starts coughing at 2:30. I think to myself, "no big deal he is the kid that always has a cough and we have a follow up doctors appointment tomorrow so that's great!" Tuesday we go to the docotor. She hears his cough and says to start the breathing treatments again until it subsides. Great news lungs were clear all was good with the exception of the cough. Wednesday the cough gets a little worse. We take a long nap and when we wake up Braxton has a fever so I give him some Motrin. No big deal right? WRONG!!!!!! He threw up five minutes later. I mean threw up like never before. This freaked me out becaue he has never done this. We immediately go to the doctors office. She proceeds to tell me that he has a double ear infection, 103 temp, this stupid cough and now he's puking!! YIKES!!!!! she says to try Tylenol for the fever as it is easier on the stomach. They gave him a dose there and it seemed to work..... Ok, we are on our way home and he seems to be getting a little better so I stop to get him a treat, a milkshake. He loves milkshakes!!!! Wrong thing to do. He threw it up in the drive way when we got home. Long story short for Wednesday night: He threw up & threw up & threw up some more. Beats all I have ever seen! I was scared! We had to worry about dehydration amongst all of the other things and the fact he could keep nothing down was so nerve racking. It was CRAZY!!!!. We ended up calling the emergency hotline at the doctors office and they told us to get suppositories to see if those would bring his temp down & calm his moode. So Jer went back to Publix for the second time this evening to get more necesssities! Thursday: rolled around; afer a night of practically no sleep Jeremy got woke up to Braxton puking on him in our bed. Awesome right? Braxton's temp was still high so we tried to give him tylenol again and nope that came right back up. By this time I had enough, we went strait to the doctor again. This time she gave him a pill that was supposed to settle your stomach, and it did, Thank God! Thursday afternoon it was like a new kid was in our house but now diarrhea began. Bless his heart!!! He was nowhere near 60% better but just to see him have a little life and eat a cracker was great. Friday, we woke up to a nice surprise, Jeremy got Brax out of bed and it was covered in poop. Oh yeah this was at 6:15 am to, to make it even better. The day went on and he pooped more and more and some more to finally his butt was so raw he screamed at the thought of getting his diaper changed. Then what do you know, I started to not feel so good. By Friday afternoon I got the poopies and by that evening I was throwing up. Great!!!! Jer's parents came over to help out for a little while which was nice because it let me rest for a bit which was much needed due to me feeling like hammered dog poo ran over by a 18 wheeler five times!!! Saturday: came and again we woke up to poop in the bed with Braxton. I never thought this was going to end! Thank goodness his behavior was much improved so if it was just poop I had to deal with today than I was good. We didn't do much that day, basically rested and that's it! Sunday: We we wake up to throw up in the bed with Braxton and daddy hitting the toilet himself! Oh no this is sooo not good! Jeremy was sick throwing up & pooping all day but luckily Braxton was good. He still was not eating but again his behavior was much better. Monday: Well we were awaken at 1:15 am to Braxton puking in the bed!!! What fun we had!!! Jer is still sick as well. What a great night!!! Pretty tame during the day though. Jeremy is on the recovery, he didn't do much, but Brax was very active. He and I were able to go outside for a bit because of the beautiful weather that our Great God blessed us with and that's just what the both of us needed. I was at witts end. I was so over this sickness. All the poo & puke and now the clean up & disinfecting had to get underway. I was on edge and very very impatient. I was over it! But like I said it's amazing of what a little time outside on a gorgeous day will do for one. We all sat down at the dinner table that night and ate dinner, not much of course, (chk noodle soup) and had some getting better family time! That was awesome! Now here we are it's Tuesday:(1/19/2010) It is a fabulous day! 64 degrees outside with the Sunshine shining and we woke up to..... a nice clean Braxton in a nice clean bed. Daddy went to work and the day was off to be great! That's just what it has been GREAT!!!! Grandma came over to let me go to the gym which was so nice since I have not been out of the house with the exception of doctors visits since last Tuesday. The sun is shining and all is well at the Glaze compound! It's funny how a week like this will make you appreciate the ever so small things in life like a ray of sunshine or an upbeat song at the gym, but it does. Brax is pretty much back to his old self but still has the cough, but no worries cause like I stated before that's what I have found to be normal for him in the winter months. My attitude has done a 180 and the house is almost clean and all the way disinfected!

In the course of this past week I have learned to depend on God in more ways than I did before and I have felt him answer prayers quickly. My intuition or what I like to think of as God telling me what to do, is way better than I ever imagined. That mothers instinct thing is truly unique and a gift from God. I will admit I questioned him time and again throughout the week because things just kept spiraling down hill at a rate like none other, (I left out random other things that happened around the house that just added to our chaos) but all in all God was right there with us during the week and He brought us through it. The verse: If God brings you to it He will bring you through it stands ever so true in my eyes! Praise God for being great and blessing my family in the many ways that He does on a daily basis!!

Good times with great friends!!!

Tonight I had dinner with my long time friends Heather, Allie & Amanda. All of us went o high school together and have managed to keep our friendships up over the years. We had a such a great time. We always do when we get together. These girls I have truly grown up with and will be friends with forever! We have seen each other grow in many different ways and continue to make our journey in this life together. It's funny how we just connect! I thank God for you girls as you all have been there for me through thick & thin! I can't wait to grow older together, hence I worded that!. I firmly believe that we will be 75 years old baking Suga cookies and talking about our grandchildren and Lord knows what else one day!!!! Thanks for a fabulous dinner and of course for great friendships!!!

Happy New Years!!!!

For new years we headed to the Mountains, Sky Valley. We left on Wednesday so we would have a really long relaxing weekend with family! Joan & Doug, Jeremy's parents, and Jason, Kim, Carly, Reed & Will (Jeremy's brother's fam) were all going to spend the weekend there too! Oh yeah, and not to mention all of our pets, WOW!!! Can we say Chaos!!!

We had a lot of fun together! The kids played all weekend, they built a fort that was really cool! The adults played too, we had a Jenga tournament, which I won!!! The championship game was between Doug & I and it was a thriller!!! We also went on a family hike which was awesome!!! It was very cold but so worth it!!! Jeremy and I even snuck off to Cherokee for a bit to hit the casino, too bad we lost!!!. All in all it was a fabulous weekend we really enjoyed spending time with our family!
